Hello and welcome—
Deciding to seek help from a professional is not easy, so good for you for taking this important step. Many of us experience anxiety and/or depression or face challenges navigating life transitions.
You may have been struggling with anxiety and depression for a long time, dealing with loss, or adjusting to new changes. Feelings of anger and fear are common, and I am here to help you explore all of your thoughts and emotions.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience working with clients facing a variety of concerns. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from San Diego State University. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with individuals experiencing substance use, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and domestic violence. I have provided therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups in diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, medical settings, nonprofit agencies, and the foster care system.
In addition, I was an instructor at San Diego State University and the University of Phoenix for many years, and I have supervisory and administrative experience.
What should a new client know about working with you?
We will work together on your realistic goals to help you achieve your potential and to find a greater sense of acceptance and personal satisfaction. One of my goals for you is to feel supported and heard and if needed for you to learn to be more assertive in your life and ask for what you need and want. Too many of us are hard on ourselves, and I will work with you to find your strengths and joy while helping you work through complex situations and experience I hope you will find me understanding, non-judgmental, genuine and accepting. Therapy is a partnership and we will move forward together. "

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
