“Dr. Meyer has really changed my perspective on therapy. I immediately felt drawn to her and connected with her immediately which really helped me open up and really talk about things that needed to be addressed. She has helped me in every category of my life numerous times. I love how she takes notes and follows up on things I never expected her to remember. She listens, thinks about her response, and really knows how to be compassionate while getting her clients to navigate their issues for themselves with her guidance. After many failed therapists, I’m so thankful to have found someone as amazing as her.”

Getting to know Michele Meyer
My mission is this: to give people hope and coping skills in challenging times and times of transition. I hold a Master’s degree in School and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. I am trained in several treatment modalities, but Grief Counseling, Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy are my specialties. I tailor my therapy to meet the individual needs of each of my clients. I have experience counseling all ages—and I welcome clients from six years old to seniors! I have a passion for working with educators because I have walked in the shoes of a teacher, school counselor, and school administrator, so I understand the current challenges you are facing.
I can help you using Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Grief and Trauma Processing, Career Counseling, and other methods to ease your current symptoms, give you hope, and help you plan and move into a better life path.
I look forward to working with you and building a trusting relationship that will lead you to hope, peace, and competence. I love to help my clients be their authentic selves, discover their gifts, and reach their goals to achieve their dreams.
What should a new client know about working with you?
After our first session, we will have formed a trusting relationship and you will have been given some ideas for new coping skills to help you in your current situation. You will have felt understood because you sensed my empathy, which is one of my real strengths. We will have begun to focus on the goals of what you want to accomplish during therapy, and you will be assigned homework to think about what your priorities are at this time in your life. I ensure that my clients have some sense of hope, no matter what their current situation is.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

After many years and doctors later, Dr. Meyer has helped me feel comfortable enough to share openly, and in turn that has helped me begin the healing process. Something that is long overdue! I cannot thank her enough and hope to continue on this journey with her guidance.

my sessions with Michele have been great! I really like her perspective and how she comes from a building self love standpoint since that is something I have always overlooked. I really enjoy how heard I feel after our sessions and really feel comfortable to share my highs and lows with her. Highly recommend!

Michele is a WONDERFUL listener and truly engages with what you tell her to create a personalized therapy plan for you. She never puts the work on me to figure out what I want to talk about, which makes therapy a less intimidating experience. However if I come with a topic, she's always ready to pivot over to it and provides really valuable insights and thought-provoking questions along the way.
