Psychotherapist

It can be hard to know where to turn for help when you start to recognize that something is off in your life. My goal as a therapist is to help you get to the source of your distress and start seeing positive change. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Utah and California, with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Central Florida, and have been providing therapy services for over 5 years to children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are dealing with a range of difficult issues. I am very client-centered in my approach, letting you lead the way in determining your goals and direction, and I use a variety of evidence-based modalities depending on your individual needs. I am intimately familiar with the devastating impact that abuse and other adverse experiences can have on your life. Your sense of safety, trust in others, core beliefs, and even your faith can be shaken and may even seem to be destroyed. I have been trained and certified in trauma treatment in order to effectively help you overcome these experiences. My other areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, foster care/adoption issues, addictive behaviors, self-harm, self-esteem, stress management, domestic violence (perpetrators and victims), relationships, anger management, and sexual abuse. If you are struggling to move forward in your life, I would consider it a privilege to assist you with your unique healing process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session, I will gather some information from you on your background, strengths, and current symptoms you are experiencing. We will develop a treatment plan together and set goals for our sessions. During each session after that, I will start by checking in with you for any updates, changes, new issues, or anything significant you would like to discuss. Depending on your situation, I may provide homework assignments for you to work on in between sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
