Getting to know Michelle Curry

Hi, I’m Michelle Curry, LCSW, licensed to provide online therapy in Florida through secure telehealth services. If you’re searching for a Florida therapist for anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, or relationship issues, you’re in the right place. I offer a space where you can feel truly heard, seen, and understood. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Florida, am a Certified Crisis, Trauma, and PTSD Counselor, and hold a degree in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. I specialize in trauma therapy, anxiety treatment, and PTSD counseling in Florida, helping clients heal from trauma, grief, and narcissistic abuse. I also support clients with panic attacks, codependency, boundary setting, and family of origin issues, as well as navigating difficult relationships. Together, we’ll build effective coping skills to reduce anxiety symptoms and improve emotional well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Existential Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy techniques. I also offer faith-based counseling. I combine these methods with a compassionate, supportive, and gently direct style to help you gain insight, develop practical tools, and create lasting change. As an experienced telehealth therapist in Florida, I’ve helped many clients manage life’s stress, heal from past experiences, and build healthier relationships. I would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I know that reaching out for help can feel challenging—and even scary. I want to help ease some of that uncertainty by sharing a bit about my approach to therapy. First, I want to acknowledge the strength and courage it took for you to begin searching for support. That step alone is meaningful, and it matters. You don’t have to keep doing this alone. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out today. Even if you’re unsure, that first conversation can help you gain clarity and see what’s possible. Change is within reach—and it can start with a simple step forward. I look forward to meeting you!
