Dr. Michelle Hansen, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, is guided by compassion for the human experience in assisting her clients. She specializes in providing psychological testing services, recognizing that the underlying causes of cognitive, learning, emotional, or interpersonal difficulties are not always clear. Dr. Hansen’s goal in assessment is to help clients discover their strengths and use their challenges as opportunities for personal and interpersonal growth. She aims to provide a first step in mental health treatment by understanding the nature of experienced difficulties and promoting improved health and wellness through individualized treatment options and recommendations.
A lifelong resident of the greater Chicago area, Dr. Hansen earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.A. at Argosy University in Schaumburg. She has provided therapeutic and comprehensive psychological testing services in residential, forensic, and long-term care settings. Dr. Hansen has worked with families and organizations to diagnose the nature and severity of symptoms and offer informed recommendations about treatment options. She practices with respect for the humanity of all, providing individualized recommendations that reflect the unique strengths and challenges of each client and family she serves.
