Getting to know Michelle Maddalozzo

Michelle Maddalozzo is an LCSW in private practice in Illinois. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago and a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Michelle has been working with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma for over ten years, specializing in military mental health. She incorporates different treatment modalities into her work, with an emphasis on body-oriented techniques. Michelle sees adults and adolescents for individual therapy. She has successfully worked with many diverse clients presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, traumatic stress (including experiences of domestic violence, sexual assault, adult survivors of childhood abuse, medical trauma, and single or complex incident traumas such as car accidents and combat), grief, relationship difficulties, and difficulty transitioning to parenthood, college, or career. Michelle has a strong passion for helping individuals meet their life goals and uses evidence-based practice alongside body-oriented techniques to help clients manage their challenges, celebrate joy, and recognize their full potential, self-esteem, and stress management.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Michelle believes that change happens when people are given the support they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling happy lives. Michelle approaches both therapy and assessment as healing processes, helping to answer deep-seated questions that individuals have about themselves. Each client will be provided with a detailed treatment plan that focuses on the client's goals and has a plan to assist the client in achieving these goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
