Hi there, I'm Michelle! My name is Michelle Rathburn. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I view therapy as a valuable resource that offers an opportunity to redirect your steps and re-engage with what brings purpose, peace, and meaning. In partnership with you, my hope is that you will experience healing and lasting change. My approach I practice from a systemic, somatic, and trauma-informed perspective to address the issues clients explore. I value the whole of a person’s life story and seek to understand how biological, psychological, and social experiences shape who they are and influence relationships with self and others. My focus My style works best with individuals highly motivated to participate in therapy and experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, loss, or significant life changes. My communication style I use warmth, compassion, optimism, and collaboration in sessions. While listening is important, I am known to challenge clients, highlight where they’re stuck, and encourage transformation. My journey to mental healthcare My journey began with a passion for helping people and supporting relationships. Early on, I realized the profound importance of mental health and therapy’s impact on lives and relationships. I became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to focus on individual well-being and how we relate to others. After completing a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, my interest in holistic, somatic approaches deepened as I saw the positive effects of integrating mind and body in therapy and wellness. My goals for you My approach to goal setting is collaborative and tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe in aligning goals with clients.
