“Michelle is very understanding, at the same time, able to explain different perspectives in a professional manner without making you feel like everything is your fault. She has great insight about society and people but is able to be supportive and helped me navigate through a very difficult time in my life. Whereas I was very hesitant about needing therapy, I realized after having my sessions, that having them regularly helped keep me from going off the deep end from time to time.”

Getting to know Michelle Roncevic

Hi there, I'm Michelle! Hello! My name is Michelle Roncevic, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Masters in Counseling from Bridgewater State University. If you have a desire to feel better or improve your functioning in some area of life, and are motivated and willing to do the work, I can help support you on your journey toward change and fulfillment. My approach I take a person-centered approach to treatment and believe that the quality of therapeutic rapport established within the professional relationship is a significant facilitator of change. Once rapport is established, I am very skills-based in my approach to treatment. I primarily use person-centered techniques, CBT, and DBT skills in my practice. My focus I work with adults of all ages, 18+. I primarily treat anxiety, depression, management of bipolar disorder, emotional issues, grief and loss, stress, and phase-of-life distress. My communication style I take an active approach to working collaboratively with my clients throughout the entire therapeutic process, and I encourage my clients to be actively engaged in their own treatment. I describe my approach as compassionately direct, as I am upfront and genuine in my treatment of clients. My journey to mental healthcare I wanted a career that would allow me to give back to my community and help people in a personally meaningful and fulfilling way. I have a varied and diverse background in my own life experiences as well as my professional development as a therapist, which has always ignited my curiosity about the world and the people in it. Being a professional therapist allows me to satisfy that curiosity and continue learning about myself, others, and the world at large. My goals for you I encourage and support clients in taking a more active and collaborative approach to identifying treatment goals and the action steps for achieving these goals. I listen to what change means for each specific client.

Michelle listens. I've had other Counselors who just said uh huh, mmm, and even washed their dishes while i was speaking with them. Also, she engages with me. My previous counselor just read things out of a book. Michelle has helped me so much with getting thru my issue without any grief. Michelle Rocks.
Michelle is absolutely amazing. She is understanding, patient, kind, and compassionate. She creates a safe space where I feel comfortable being open and honest without judgment. She has given me practical tools and ideas for self-regulation that I can use in everyday life, and they have truly helped me in the long run. I’m incredibly grateful for her support and guidance and would highly recommend her!
Michelle really listens to everything I have, but also knows how to communicate with me in a way that eases my considerations. She helps me slow down and provides support to help me sort through the areas I need clarity in. She does not pry, but instead helps me open up at a pace that is best for me.
