Hello and Welcome! My name is Mikael Lövkvist. I am a Doctor in Clinical Psychology, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Board-Certified Dance / Movement therapist. I have worked in the field of psychological health since 1998. Outside of my private practice, I also offer counseling services at Texoma Medical Center BHC, and serve as an Adjunct Professor in Counseling at Southern Methodist University. I have a wealth of experience of working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, dissociation, grief, and addiction. My doctorate training further enhanced my knowledge and skills in the treatment of situational, developmental, and complex trauma. I apply an integrative perspective and approach to my therapeutic work with clients. This approach draws on humanistic, depth psychology, emotional, cognitive, relational, somatic, mindfulness based, transpersonal, and expressive-experiential methods of psychotherapy. I welcome the messages and wisdom of the wholeness of your being: body, mind, and soul. My goal is to support you to not only achieve symptom relief, but also to invite you into unconditional self acceptance, self worth, and self compassion. I view this profession as a calling, and feel that it is my profound privilege and responsibility to be able to support you in this capacity. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
