Mindy Romero, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Mindy Romero, LMFT 112633. I am a person-centered therapist who helps individuals explore and identify their life's meaning and purpose. I believe healing comes through finding peace and balance among all areas of our lives, particularly within our personal relationships. My therapeutic approaches stem from positive psychology, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness meditation. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. My approach I utilize a person-centered approach to therapy, meaning clients lead the way, and I incorporate strength-based methods to support clients in developing the many gifts, talents, and strengths they already have. Together, we explore and identify which thoughts and behaviors are helpful and working for them, and which may no longer serve them and are time to let go of. I also have training and clinical experience with mindfulness meditation, which focuses on present-moment experiences and gaining skills for coping with difficult feelings—both physical and emotional. I believe the main catalyst for change and hope is through our deep and meaningful conversations that illuminate your awareness of your authentic self. My focus I typically work with young adults navigating life transitions, adults of all ages struggling with anxiety and depression, and clients experiencing family or parenting issues. I also support individuals with various types of trauma and have helped clients overcome grief and loss. My communication style During sessions, my goal is to provide a safe space where clients feel free to explore their passions, cultivate a deeper sense of meaning and purpose, and find practical solutions to some of the challenges they face in daily life.
