Mira Walters, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Mira! I am a bilingual licensed therapist who holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Chapman University. My training and clinical experience come from working with individuals, couples, families, and children. In the past, I have worked in various clinical settings, including a mental health community clinic, public schools, a battered women’s shelter, hospitals, and a university mental health clinic. Currently, I maintain private practices in Santa Ana, California. My approach Whether you are a couple or an individual, sessions will work as a team. My approach is active, helping you understand the history behind the problem and achieve your goals. I like to share the latest research and studies related to your issues. I also use exercises to continue our work at home and teach you skills to become empowered. My focus My ideal client is anyone who is looking for help. My communication style With my ability to listen and engage in intelligent conversations filled with information, honest reflection, collaboration, and even some humor, you will discover your own capacity to change and tackle life’s challenges. I believe satisfaction comes from change. My journey to therapy I went back to school after we moved to my son’s college town. I took a few psychology classes and loved them, but I wasn’t sure what I could do with them. After being asked to write down my strengths in one class (the most important one was that people around me can open up very easily), I talked to one of the professors, who was a psychotherapist, and started working toward becoming a psychotherapist myself. The journey was long and challenging, but after 3,000 hours and two very difficult exams, I became a licensed psychotherapist—and I love it. My goals for you My goals for clients are to help them heal, understand themselves, and use the skills from sessions to live a happy life.
