Molly Acosta, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there! I'm Molly Acosta. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University, I believe that prioritizing mental health is just as important as prioritizing physical health. Since graduating in 2016, I have been passionate about helping others overcome challenges and learn to live happier, healthier lives. My approach I want the work we do in sessions to be a joint effort, maintaining a safe space where you feel comfortable addressing what’s on your mind. I will be there to support, encourage, and guide you. I typically use CBT, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing techniques to help you reach the goals you set and move in the direction you’d like to go. My focus I have worked with a wide range of clients but have the most experience with adolescents, teens, and adults. I specialize in trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, adolescent issues, self-harm, and relationship challenges. My goal is to create a welcoming environment for all clients, fostering collaboration and tailoring sessions to each person’s unique needs. My communication style I maintain a safe and warm space for clients to feel comfortable opening up. I am open-minded and empowering. While I may gently challenge you or your thinking at times, I always do so with care and respect. My first session with you Our first session will be a get-to-know-you hour, where I’ll learn about your history, challenges, and what ultimately led you to seek help. Together, we’ll set some goals to guide our future sessions.
