Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm Mona! Life challenges can feel overwhelming and can lead to feelings of stress, anxiety, fatigue, and even depression. I am in awe of the human capacity to heal, grow, and regain a sense of balance in life. My approach In our work together, I offer a compassionate, safe space to explore the issues you are dealing with. Using cognitive therapy, I help you reorder your thoughts and gain clarity. I also incorporate relaxation techniques for stress management and provide education to normalize and reframe your experience. If desired, I can bring a Christian faith-based perspective into our sessions, grounding our work in your values and beliefs. My focus I have had the privilege of serving in various settings, including community mental health centers, medical social work, and developmentally disabled centers. My experience spans cancer care, chronic illness, caregiver stress, and grief counseling. I specialize in helping individuals cope with terminal illnesses and other losses, such as the end of a relationship, job loss, or financial hardship. My communication style I deeply believe in the human capacity to heal, grow, and regain a sense of balance. Having sat with the highs and lows of the human experience, I'm continually inspired by the resilience people possess. My journey to mental healthcare My own life has had many blessings, but also its fair share of ups and downs. In my journey through life, I realized that having good support and guidance was a key to my healing, growth, and the achievement of a satisfying life. From an early age, I've had an insatiable curiosity about human nature and the resiliency of people. In my early career, I worked in Cancer Care in the hospital and an outpatient support center, where I saw the incredible possibilities of healing and growth during adverse circumstances. It has taught me how to live my life and to believe in the possibility of healing, growth, and change for anyone.
