What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal with virtual therapy is make care accessible and mimic an in-person session as much as possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY starts with a full psychosocial assessment in which I explore your family history, strengths/challenges and goals for counseling. Following assessment we will typically meet on a weekly basis for the majority of treatment before tapering off slowly based on progress, with the end goal being to terminate services. Length of treatment varies greatly based on individual needs but generally most clients utilize therapy anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months, sometimes closer to a year. COUPLES THERAPY starts with a full intake obtaining relationship history, goals for counseling and the Gottman Assessment Tool. Assessment for couples includes a minimum of 3-4 separate sessions, one with the couple, an individual session with each member of the couple and myself and another joint session to review assessment findings. After assessment, we generally meet on a weekly basis but specific recommendations will be based on assessment.
