Getting to know Monica Webb

My name is Monica Webb, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). That doesn’t mean you have to be married or in a family conflict to meet with me! I am based in Los Angeles and work with clients statewide via telehealth. I practice a client-centered approach, believing that clients are experts in their own lives, and my role is to guide them in achieving their goals. I am open to all populations, from 5 years old to 95 years old, and able to support clients in managing symptoms of distress. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, which has shaped my understanding and approach to therapy. My approach to therapy is based on the needs of the client. I meet them where they are, and we work together to build skills, understanding, and processing to achieve their desired outcome. I find blending multiple modalities to provide the best fit for each client is the most helpful. Modalities I utilize most include CBT, DBT, Client-Centered, Gestalt (helping clients understand different perspectives and how events, actions, and interactions are perceived and felt), and Bowen (reducing anxiety, increasing family differentiation, and clarifying the roles of each person in the family unit), just to name a few. I have spent most of my career working with children, adolescents, and young adults. My style can be molded to fit most populations and leans into motivating clients by building self-esteem and skills in order to work myself out of the job. My communication style is accommodating, patient, attentive, and assertive. Through DBT training, I am able to listen without judgment. I want others to feel safe to open up and be willing to give a hard think to questions, encouraging them to consider all options.
