Getting to know Monique Brando

Hello! My name is Monique. Are you currently experiencing challenges in your life? We all have them, and some can feel pretty big—but you don’t have to face them alone. When these challenges prevent you from functioning in important areas of your life and leave you feeling like life is just passing you by, reaching out for help is one of the most courageous things you can do. I work with people to develop coping skills, gain insight, and provide guidance and encouragement to help them get where they want to be. I want clients to feel empowered to make changes in their lives. I am guided by a variety of approaches, including CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Trauma-Informed care. Much of my experience is working with adolescents, families, and individuals who experience everything from relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and stress, to name a few. I have worked in outpatient community settings, schools, homes, and telehealth. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from John F. Kennedy University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After our first session together, I hope that you walk away with a sense of hope, and understanding that you already took a major step towards improved well-being. In our follow up sessions, I will continue to learn more about you, what you want to get out of therapy, and how we can work together towards achieving your goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

She was so lovely and I am so thrilled she is willing to work with me. I felt heard and seen and I am ready to start my journey. We started about five minutes late but made up for that at time and so I have no complaints.
