Psychotherapist
FL
Hi there, I'm Monte! My name is Monte Drenner, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but also incorporate Solution-Focused and Strength-Based approaches to help you make the most progress in the shortest time. All of this happens in a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere. My approach My approach to therapy is always tailored to what works best for you. This varies from client to client, and together we will determine the best therapeutic method based on your needs. Remember, this is your therapy, not mine, and my goal is to help you get to a better place as quickly as possible. While I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I have extensive experience with several other modalities that have been successful for many clients. My focus I have worked extensively with adults facing mental health and addiction challenges. I also see many couples struggling with communication, emotional connection, and overcoming affairs. I work diligently to help my clients not only build the skills necessary to manage their issues but also prevent them from recurring. My communication style My communication style is calm and direct, yet kind. I want you to feel comfortable talking to me about anything, so there is no judgment. Discussing difficult issues can be challenging, but clients often tell me I am a good listener. I frequently clarify what you share to ensure I fully understand what you are trying to communicate. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist because I needed a lot of help myself, and I believed that if therapy worked for me, I could make it work for others. I have always enjoyed helping people, and after leaving the Army in 1987, I began my career in helping others.
