Psychotherapist
TN
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (P6336) with extensive experience working with clients suffering from acute mental health traumas. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from John Brown University, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. This education has deepened my understanding of the developmental and circumstantial difficulties faced by individuals across various ages, systems, and socioeconomic groups. My approach I found my passion in the mental health field and use my life experience and training to help my clients finally reach their goals. My approach is eclectic, meaning I incorporate different styles such as Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization (EMDR), Person-Centered Therapy, Play and sandtray techniques, and the Family Systems Model. My focus I have extensive experience working with at-risk youth ages 5 and older who face mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, suicidal ideation, and self-harming behaviors. I also work with disorders including ADHD, PTSD, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, behavioral issues, and self-esteem concerns. My communication style I work to empower my clients to trust the process. You can release your feelings in a safe, completely nonjudgmental setting, no matter where your journey has led you. My journey to mental healthcare I have always desired to give others a voice and space to reduce the internalization of feelings and emotions. I work hard to establish a safe environment for my clients to explore their thoughts and emotions openly. My goals for you My goal is to collaborate with you to learn your values and empower you to release what you have been carrying and heal. My first session with you I prioritize meeting my clients where they are and connecting to establish healthy rapport.
