Psychotherapist
GA
Hi there, I'm MorRondo! Mor Rondo J. Edwards-Roberts is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Cleveland State University. He believes behavioral health models can empower individuals by providing hope, healing, and connections to resources. My approach Cognitive intervention uses techniques and strategies to help individuals identify and redirect negative thoughts. My focus I have experience working with issues such as: - Anxiety: Clients who experience excessive worrying, intrusive thoughts, and stress about the future or things that have not happened. - Depression: Clients who experience a lack of interest in activities, isolation, low motivation, and fatigue. - Impulse control issues: Clients who often react without weighing the consequences first. - Couple counseling: Couples struggling with effective communication. My communication style Clients are met with consistent eye contact, active listening, unconditional positive regard, and warm acceptance to build trust. They are encouraged to share only what they feel comfortable with-no pressure. It truly takes time to develop a relationship with a therapist. My journey to mental healthcare I explain to every client that I am not just a “textbook” therapist-I have years of real-life experience. As an African-American male raised by a single mother, I have developed compassion and understanding that we all have different journeys and should not be judged. As a therapist, I am committed to creating that environment for all. My goals for you Sometimes another person, one who isn't in your immediate circle, can offer a fresh perspective or additional support. Everyone should have the ability to share personal truths and be accepted and understood. I believe it's very important to be open-minded and non-judgmental when someone shares their personal story or experiences.
