Psychotherapist
5825 Delmonico Dr, Ste 320, Colorado Springs, CO
As a therapist specializing in trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and crisis intervention, my work centers on building therapeutic relationships with adolescents, adults, and families navigating mental health challenges. With experience in high-acuity and residential settings, I have supported individuals through acute mental health crises, including psychosis, suicidality, substance use, trauma, and behavioral challenges, using evidence-based interventions rooted in de-escalation and stabilization. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected, and often struggle with trust and communication, especially within family relationships. If that resonates with you, know that you are not alone. Together, we'll work on identifying triggers, managing intense emotions, and developing effective communication skills so you can express yourself in ways that feel authentic and sustainable. Your goals of feeling safe, building emotional awareness, strengthening relationships, and ensuring the skills needed for long-term healing and stability are exactly what I'm here to help you work toward.

What should a new client know about working with you?

"DISCLAIMER: We are not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time." My path to becoming a therapist began with a desire to help others navigate life's challenges and create positive change, particularly for those who feel like they can't help themselves or who feel unheard and unseen. That belief has always been at the core of this work: everyone deserves to feel valued, understood, and supported. Experience in high-acuity and residential settings deepened that commitment, working alongside adolescents and families through some of their most difficult moments and reinforcing the importance of a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where patients can truly be themselves. When you work with me, you'll find someone who can sit with you through the hard moments while also bringing lightness and laughter when it's needed. My goal is for every session to feel genuine, approachable, and supportive of your growth and healing – because you will be heard, and you will be seen.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and understood. Working together, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental, and structured environment where your unique needs, situation, and goals shape the direction of our sessions. I draw on evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed care, Mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques to help you manage intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and build the tools you need to thrive. My style is calm, collaborative, and warm, and I tailor everything to meet you where you are. When it feels right, I also believe that authenticity and even moments of laughter have a real place in the therapeutic process, because healing feels more human when the space you're in feels genuinely like your own.
