Hello! My name is Nameeta Bringham, and I also go by the nickname Nimmi. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience working with children and their families, grieving adults and adolescents, anxiety disorders, and depression. I also have some experience working with pregnant women and postpartum parents. I earned my Master?s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. My approach When it comes to therapy, I use motivational interviewing because I believe therapy is most successful when it is client-led. Systems theory is important to me so I can understand the whole picture of where you are coming from. For children, Erikson and Piaget are the main theories I use to help understand their developmental stages. I may also draw from other theoretical approaches, as each individual is unique. My focus In my experience, I have supported children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma, are navigating grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, need support in boundary setting, new parents, new mothers, postpartum depression, and postpartum anxiety. Previously, I treated adolescents in a high school setting and adults adjusting to new stressors such as new jobs, new relationships, breakups, divorce, and adapting to new environments. In my most recent position, I provided solution-based therapy to adults who were institutionalized and helped them safely integrate back into the community. My communication style My intention in working with clients is to provide a safe environment where they feel comfortable openly expressing their feelings and thoughts without judgment. Therapy and treatment can be hard at first, but I believe everyone deserves therapy. Together, we can explore your healthiest self, advocate for yourself, identify and create supportive connections, establish boundaries, and create opportunities for you to be your best self. My journey to mental healthcare I have always wanted to help others.
