Nancy Escalante, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I have been a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#121974) in California since 2020. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fresno. My approach Some of my specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, mindfulness, and family systems. I use a variety of approaches such as CBT, Person-centered therapy, somatic therapy, internal family systems, and trauma-focused work. My focus I have worked with high-functioning individuals, groups, couples, and families ranging in age from 2 to 64 in outpatient care settings, both in-person and via Telehealth. My communication style I strive to create a safe environment and space for my clients to build rapport. Together, we explore their strengths, needs, and goals for treatment before starting sessions. Based on each client’s needs and overall functioning, I meet them where they are but also challenge them throughout treatment to help them reach their goals. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been interested in people’s behaviors. I began by enjoying work in school settings academically until I realized I wanted to learn more about individuals’ emotional and psychosocial needs. My goals for you I like to use Person-centered approaches to gain a deeper understanding of my clients’ goals and insights into the symptoms and impairments they experience in their lives. My first session with you I complete an initial evaluation to gain better insight into important domains of your life, including family, home, education, occupation, and social/emotional areas. I review this evaluation with you to ensure nothing important is missed, especially if you completed an intake on your own.
