Hi there, I'm Nancy! Welcome! My name is Nancy Johnson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Southern California. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. I am passionate about supporting my clients toward healing and growth and would love to be part of your journey. I strive to create a safe and open space to help clients feel comfortable opening up. I understand it's not easy, but I’m happy you had the courage to take the hardest first step to seek therapy and prioritize yourself. My approach I believe we all have the potential and inner strength to overcome challenges, despite the little voice telling us otherwise. Sometimes we just need support and guidance to build on our strengths and navigate difficulties. I operate from a strengths-based perspective because if you have the courage to start therapy, you must have many hidden gems you’re not aware of. Other approaches I incorporate include CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered, and mindfulness techniques. The interventions depend on your needs and what feels comfortable. All aim to break negative recurring thoughts while understanding your reality and developing a more positive outlook. My focus I have clinical experience with adolescents, young adults, older adults, and the elderly. I assist clients with grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, relational issues, communication skills, and low self-esteem. My journey to mental healthcare Becoming a therapist has been my career goal since I was young. I’ve always been naturally empathetic and genuinely enjoy listening to and guiding people through hardships and life’s challenges.
