Nancy Lynch, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Nancy Lynch, and I am thrilled that you took the first step in healing and self-discovery. Whether you suffer from depression and anxiety or simply need someone to talk to, finding the right therapist is not easy. Hopefully, you can find helpful information about me to decide if we are a good match. I am a licensed clinical Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from National University. My experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma-related symptoms is extensive. I have had the privilege of working with foster children and their families. My approach I have seen great results from brief therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My focus I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples to help them reach their therapeutic goals. My communication style I believe every person is unique and essential as an individual, and I will strive to work with you to develop plans and goals that fit your unique needs and style in a nonjudgmental and accepting environment. My journey to therapy I found myself to be an empathetic person who has the ability to listen and help others make informed decisions in life. I realized these are effective traits for becoming a committed psychotherapist. I am currently continuing my education and writing my thesis to earn my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree. My goals for you My approach is to build a therapeutic alliance with my clients to help them imagine desired outcomes and develop a comprehensive treatment plan to reach their goals. My first session with you In the initial session, after I introduce myself, I follow a process of getting to know my clients. I also help them understand the nature of therapy to explore their problematic issues or past trauma.
