My journey to mental healthcare I was a probation officer for LA County for 11 1/2 years. I decided to go back to school and obtain my master's in social work. I left the correctional setting and decided to enter the mental health field. My first journey into the mental health field was working at Coalinga State Hospital for 5 1/2 years. I worked with mentally disordered offenders and Sexual Violent Predators. I was also the trainer for the Social Work department. As a Clinician, I provided individual and group sessions with the clients at DSH-Coalinga. I am currently working for the State as a therapist for parolees that enter the community. My drive is to focus on what is right through a Christian-based perspective on morals, values, and virtues based on Love and Forgiveness. I enjoy helping the people in our communities who feel unloved, abandoned.
