Nancy Malwitz, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Nancy! I am Nancy Malwitz, a licensed professional counselor with a Master's in Psychology and a Bachelor's degree from Liberty University. I have been working with people most of my adult life, and in the past, I helped train and mentor those who worked for me. After many years in retail management, I redirected my career to use my life experience to help others overcome difficulties and learn ways to live fulfilling and happy lives. My approach My approach centers on client strengths and abilities to overcome life's challenges. I like to use CBT to help clients identify their strengths, abilities, and thought patterns that may lead to negative actions. By focusing on these strengths and learning new ways to approach difficulties, clients can overcome the issues they find problematic. My focus I typically work with adult clients ages 18 to 90, helping with anxiety, stress, depression, personality disorders, and other common concerns. I also enjoy supporting parents by teaching positive parenting skills to help raise healthy, happy families. My communication style Being approachable and open to what clients share is the best way to connect. As humans, we often share similar thoughts and feelings about life's events, and being understanding and empathetic helps clients feel comfortable opening up about their experiences. My journey to mental healthcare After many years as a retail manager, I became a counselor following my own counseling experience, which was instrumental in putting me on the right track. I felt called to share what I learned and help others overcome the many challenges they face in life.
