Nancy Pierson, LMFT

Nancy Pierson, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 20 years of experience who specializes in treating adults in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, Orange County. My work is based on the belief that people want to be happy, effective, and successful in their lives and that they have within themselves the resources and skills necessary to achieve these goals. I believe that psychotherapy can help individuals most effectively use their resources and strengths to increase self-understanding, improve decision-making, solve problems, and create the paths to the lives they want. I offer a compassionate therapeutic approach utilizing evidence-based treatment to my patients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, mood disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem, peer relationships, coping skills, grief, divorce, codependency, and those searching for life meaning and purpose. I provide Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy. In practice, I work from a mindfulness-based perspective, integrating evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. I also offer career counseling sessions relevant to patients' needs, including executive coaching and stress management.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
