Getting to know Natasha Lubansky

I provide a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where you can feel both understood and empowered. I have experience working with adolescents and adults across a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma-related concerns, and neurodivergence such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. My approach is holistic and strengths-based, so while we’ll work through challenges, we’ll also focus on building on what’s already working in your life. My style is warm, steady, and direct—I balance compassion with practical, actionable strategies to help you create meaningful and lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My process starts with getting to know you as a whole person—your background, current concerns, strengths, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. From there, we’ll collaborate to create a plan that feels personalized and aligned with your goals. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also building practical skills for emotional regulation, stress management, communication, and self-confidence. Throughout our work together, I’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy is feeling helpful and adjust our approach as needed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In a typical session, we’ll explore what’s coming up for you, whether that’s current stressors, ongoing patterns, or deeper emotional experiences, in a space that feels supportive and nonjudgmental. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing us to both process and build skills. I often incorporate practical tools and strategies from CBT and DBT that you can apply in your daily life, such as techniques for managing anxiety, regulating emotions, improving communication, and navigating challenges more effectively. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling both supported and equipped with something tangible you can use outside of therapy.
