Natasha Martinez, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Natasha Martinez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Bakersfield, CA, working statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Bakersfield. As a mother of two young boys, I can relate firsthand to the unique challenges of raising a family in today's society. I am a passionate therapist with a sense of humor. I believe we are all affected by our experiences and environments in one way or another, some of which have long-lasting impacts on our well-being. Confronting personal challenges takes courage and vulnerability, and I am committed to providing empathetic support to my clients through life's various challenges and/or traumatic experiences. When a person comes to therapy, there are countless reasons. I enjoy working with people who want to explore how to build or rebuild the life they want, how to determine what that life looks like, and who are willing to do the work of understanding, growing, and challenging themselves. Understanding yourself, others, and life can be difficult, and I am humbled when a client places their trust in me and is able to share their story. It is a privilege and an honor to be able to sit with them during their challenging stages in life and hold space. My approach I tend to work from a Solution-Focused, Strengths-based lens while taking an integrative approach and weaving evidence-based practices tailored to my specific client's needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. My focus I work with children, adolescents, and adults in resolving personal, social, and psychological difficulties through a strengths-based, solution-focused approach. My focus is on healing through life's transitions, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also assist couples in recognizing and resolving conflict to improve their relationships. My communication style My communication style is collaborative, personable, and mindful.
