What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is collaborative, supportive, and person-centered. I see therapy as a partnership—you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to offer guidance, perspective, and practical tools in a space that feels respectful, nonjudgmental, and safe to speak openly. I take a strengths-based approach and draw from evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness-informed practices, and psychodynamic perspectives. Our work is tailored to your goals and pace, balancing emotional insight with actionable strategies that support meaningful, sustainable change. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic pain, injury, or illness. I have a particular interest in the mind–body connection, neuroscience-informed care, sport and performance psychology, and men’s health. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, supported, and confident in managing life’s challenges. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about building awareness, self-compassion, and resilience so you can move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My work with clients begins with an initial intake focused on understanding your concerns, goals, and what has led you to seek therapy at this time. We’ll talk about your current challenges, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This first phase is also about building safety, trust, and a shared understanding of how therapy can support you. From there, we collaborate to clarify goals and develop an approach tailored to your needs, values, and pace. Sessions may include exploring thoughts, emotions, patterns, and past experiences, while also building practical skills to support emotional regulation, coping, and decision-making. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness-informed practices, and psychodynamic perspectives, depending on what is most helpful for you. Throughout our work, we regularly check in about progress and adjust as needed. Therapy is not a rigid process—it evolves as your needs change. My goal is to provide a steady, supportive space where you can build insight, resilience, and tools that help you navigate challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
