Getting to know Neha Kumar

Hi there, I'm Neha! I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. My goal is to empower my clients to improve their lives by helping them foster insight, self-esteem, boundaries, and healthy coping skills. I believe that genuine human connection and unconditional support are at the foundation of healing and transformation. My focus While I hold space for clients from a diverse range of backgrounds, I generally work with women who are navigating a wide range of experiences that frequently intersect in complex ways: infertility, postpartum transitions, motherhood, caregiving, grief, mood disorders, relationship challenges, intergenerational trauma, and second-generation identity struggles. I draw on both my professional and personal experiences when I address these deeply human experiences. I aim to help clients recognize the overlap and intersectionality of life transitions, stressful circumstances, external pressures, internalized expectations, and mental health issues. In gaining an increased understanding of the factors contributing to our malcontent, we can then begin to process, problem-solve, and heal. My communication style I strive to honor your unique background and narrative when we work together. As such, I work from a place of unbiased and deep compassion, empathy, sensitivity, and awareness. My journey to mental healthcare I originally wanted to pursue a career in movie marketing, which explains my undergraduate degree in business and film. In the summer of 2005, I traveled to India and split my time between interning at a film production studio and volunteering with a nonprofit dedicated to helping marginalized communities.
