Psychotherapist

I believe that therapy is the place to pursue goals and overcome life’s challenges with a safe person. Furthermore, by facing these challenges, the hope is that the client will experience freedom and be able to celebrate each milestone of their personal growth. It is my goal, as the therapist, to create that space for you by maintaining a flexible and adaptive therapeutic experience. My approach I value building a therapeutic relationship with each client that allows them to make bold, healthy changes in their lives. The way in which I strive for this is through the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques and Existential therapeutic techniques. What this means is that I am comfortable with processing deep worries or pains brought on by circumstantial trauma, illness(es), generational trauma, the meaning of life, and other related issues. Moreover, I help process this by building an emotional toolkit for each client, equipping them with the tools to thrive once it is time to end therapy services. The emotional toolkit will leave the client with a sense of community, resources, and/or the strength to persevere. My focus Although I feel equipped to work with a more expansive array of personal issues, I find myself working with these handful of specific needs: general anxiety, PTSD, addictions, life transitions, and managing stress. Thus, if you find yourself struggling with some of these personal issues, then my approach to offering therapy may be what you are looking for. My communication style I try to understand before speaking. I will ask clarifying questions to make sure we are on the same page. If there is ever a miscommunication, I encourage clients to speak to me about it. I value the therapeutic relationship to be a space to practice healthy relationships through communication. My journey to mental healthcare When I was an undergraduate student, I had an encounter with someone whose life was influenced by their traumatic experiences. In learning their story,
