Nichole Brandon, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Greetings, my name is Nichole Brandon, and I prefer to be called Nikkie. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, providing teletherapy throughout California. I have spent much of my career working in specialty mental health, offering services to those with moderate to severe mental health conditions. My approach My approach varies depending on the person's challenges. I often utilize Client/Person-Centered Psychotherapy to be supportive, nonjudgmental, and focused on the therapeutic relationship. Based on client needs, I may use solution-focused therapy to highlight resiliency. Overthinking can be problematic; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps challenge the narratives in our heads. My focus I work with anyone diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Schizophrenia, and Schizoaffective Disorder. I believe everyone deserves support during tough times, especially those who feel isolated. We are all capable of finding meaning in life, developing skills to achieve recovery, and recognizing that we can move forward. My communication style I am a listener; I believe this is your time, and I let you set the pace. I can be passionate—I get excited about progress and enjoy the role of a cheerleader. I can be honest and direct when needed. I will also remind you that therapy requires your commitment to personal growth. My journey to therapy In my senior year of high school, I set a goal to become a juvenile probation officer helping troubled youth. After achieving this, I realized the juvenile justice system was not always helpful for youth. I returned to college and earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminal Justice. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
