Getting to know Nicole Derr

Nicki obtained her Bachelors degree in Social Work from BYU-Idaho, and then received her Masters degree in Social Work at BYU. She has worked with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, family or relational issues, self-esteem, life or faith transitions, perfectionism, or past traumas. As a therapist, she believes in growth and change. She aims to create a safe space in sessions where you feel seen and heard, and empowered to express your thoughts and feelings. She is trained to work with adults, couples, teens and children. She offers a range of therapeutic modalities that draw from evidence-based practices, including Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), along with Inner Child Work and Mindfulness practices. Becoming a therapist has been fulfilling and gratifying for Nicki. She loves being a part of her client’s journey as they discover more about themselves and the type of life they want to live. Nicki was born and raised in California and loves playing volleyball, going biking, laughing, spending time on the beach and spending time with my friends and family. She hopes to embark on this new path of vulnerability and growth together.
