Psychotherapist
GA
First and foremost, welcome! I want to commend you for taking the first step in your healing journey. Whether it is your first time in treatment or you’re returning, it is my goal that this experience is a meaningful one for you. I specialize in working with folks navigating trauma, coping with change or life transitions, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered, meaning we’re in this together and I want you to feel empowered in this process, as it is your journey. I look forward to you reaching out whenever you feel ready to start! My approach I use an eclectic approach in my therapeutic practice, combining elements of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. This approach allows me to meet you where you are at in your healing journey by exploring your values, recognizing negative thoughts, and creating space from or changing these thoughts entirely. Motivational Interviewing allows you to guide the sessions by providing guidance but not direct actions or advice through asking open-ended questions, reflecting on what you are talking about, and listening in a non-judgemental way to respect that your life and this journey is ultimately in your hands. My primary focus is to guide and support you on this path, to help you achieve your goals and achieve a sense of forward progress. Together we’ll identify areas of strain or stress in your life and strategies to best support you in overcoming these challenges, and ultimately feel better prepared to tackle whatever life may throw your way. My focus I have worked with adolescents and younger adults who are seeking support with major changes/life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also have experience working alongside and supporting first responders, so if you are a first responder, or just struggling with work-related stressors, trauma, or burnout, I’m here to support you as well.
