Getting to know Nicole Hornef

My experience is a combination of many things. I specialize in adolescents and young adults, having spent the last five years working with teens within the school system and addressing concerns that can negatively impact success in school. I also have extensive experience with adults, supporting them through marital issues, co-parenting, relationship difficulties, or any other unexpected life changes. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University, which has equipped me with the skills to address a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and emotional disturbances. However, this is your personal journey, and no topic is off limits. I build lasting rapport quickly with my clients so they can feel comfortable in the therapeutic space, free from judgment. My passion is focusing on the person in session and giving them the tools to face their struggles head-on. Together, we will explore the problems, uncover the root causes, and learn skills to minimize the impact these challenges have on daily life. The only constant in life is change. As a child who grew up in the military, I know that firsthand. Handling changes alone can be overwhelming.
