Nicole Patrick, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Nicole! I am a professional counselor/licensed clinician (LPC) with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-San Antonio and a Master’s in Religious Studies from the University of the Incarnate Word. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Scranton. I’d be happy to work with you to achieve your goals. Whatever you're feeling or thinking, there is a reason for it—and it is valid. We can explore the meaning behind it together. I believe everyone can improve, find healing, and live a more fulfilling life with the right tools, honesty, openness, willingness to change, and a non-judgmental, compassionate environment. I work hard to create this for all my clients. I work with adult clients in individual therapy. **My approach** I will help you look at yourself deeply and honestly, develop skills and new perspectives to change unhelpful thought patterns, reduce anxiety, and develop new behaviors to help you live a better life. Because of my background in counseling and religious studies, I can incorporate spiritual guidance into sessions if you wish, but this is optional. I have connected well with clients who are both spiritual and non-spiritual. If you have endured religious trauma or similar challenges, I would be glad to help you work through your pain—I have much experience with this. **My focus** I have experience helping clients with many issues. My top specialties include spirituality, anger management, anxiety, grief, and personality disorders. Additional areas of focus include addiction, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, family relationships, grief and bereavement, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, stress, trauma, depression, LGBTQIA+ support, multicultural and diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, sleep disorders, perinatal support (pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum), phobias, life transitions, and OCD.
