Getting to know Nicole Simons

Hello, I'm Nicole. Are you struggling to balance the many different areas in your life? Do you feel overwhelmed and discouraged? Are hardships having a negative impact on your life and wellbeing? I help adults manage everyday stressors, life struggles, and increasing mental health symptoms. Together, we can identify, process, and problem-solve to get you back to a balanced, healthy life. We will use solution-focused and client-centered approaches to individualize treatment to your specific needs. Whether it's relationship issues, self-doubt, overwhelming stress, or increasing mental health symptoms that you're struggling to manage, I am here to help. Seeking help can be hard, but it is worth it! I will meet you with empathy, understanding, and support in a judgment-free, safe space. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Youngstown State University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively. Let's work together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the first session, we will explore what brings you to therapy and identify goals. As we continue throughout the therapeutic process, we will work together to process life struggles, identify strengths and areas in need of improvement. Explore and gain knowledge through psychoeducation. Using a client centered approach, we will identify your individual needs and reflect on your unique past experiences that may still be having an impact on your current life. We will use solution focused therapy to address issues and create a treatment plan to help you improve and reach your goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I like most that Nicole is versatile in her approach to therapy. If I am being a certain way she has no problem telling me perhaps I could react differently but then if I am in a softer mood, she is also able to pick up on that respond accordingly. This has been extremely helpful!
I am so thankful I found Nicole. I genuinely look forward to our appointments after being hesitant for years to start. I appreciate her open mindedness and help so much.
Nicole has been very friendly and created a safe space for me to feel comfortable in immediately. She’s very knowledgeable and she tailor‘s each session to the individual. Best therapist I’ve ever had!
