Getting to know Nicole Zuniga

Everyone needs something different out of therapy, but at the very least, it is my job to provide a therapeutic relationship focused on listening and connection. I have experience and enjoy working with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, life transitions, and trauma. I have also supported parents whose children are at risk of entering a higher level of care, parents who have recently reunited with their children after foster care, parents who have adopted, or parents struggling due to their own childhood trauma. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support diverse client needs. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and family systems therapy. I tailor our interactions and treatment plan to meet your unique needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

She is wonderful! She is extremely thoughtful and compassionate. I always feel as though she is listening to me and genuinely cares about my self-improvement and understands my steps towards growth. I am always in a great mood after my appointments and have even started being excited for my appointments. I never thought I would genuinely enjoy therapy so much, but Nicole is very intuitive and clearly relays my experiences back to me and explains that even if I see it as small things in my life... it is still trauma to work through because it has impacted me.
