Getting to know Nicolette Jacobs
Hi there! My name is Nicolette Jacobs, and I am an LCSW located in Nevada. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno. I believe there are many benefits to having a therapist who can provide feedback, support, and genuine care in a safe and judgment-free environment.
My therapeutic approach focuses on helping people from all walks of life find their voice in addressing and facing their challenges. Through guidance, I hope to engage youth, individuals, families, and couples in finding the encouragement and strength to foster their own resilience and self-sufficiency. I meet clients where they are and work together with them to achieve their goals. I use various modalities, including but not limited to CBT, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy.
I work with clients aged 8 and older, assisting with managing depression, anxiety, anger management, conflict resolution, burnout, adjustment disorders, coping skills, codependency, and relationship issues.
My desire is to create a comfortable environment that allows you to safely express your feelings without judgment. My communication style is flexible and client-centered.
Throughout my life, I have always had a passion for helping people become the best versions of themselves. My own experiences have allowed me to truly empathize with those facing challenges who may need extra support, guidance, and someone they can trust when they feel like the world is on their shoulders.
I provide a safe space for clients to express their needs and assist in creating goals that are specific, measurable, realistic, and attainable. This approach empowers and motivates clients to continue growing on their personal journey.
In our first session, I will focus on getting to know you while allowing you to get to know me as your therapist.
