Hello! My name is Nicolette Surico. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Adler University and a Bachelor’s degree from National Louis University. I am a Licensed Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with adults, young adults, adolescents, families, and couples. My work focuses on Substance Use Disorders, Mental Health, and supporting mentally ill substance users.
Most of what I hear from those seeking therapy involves struggling with and navigating life’s challenges, especially during these complicated times. What you may have seemed to manage before might now be creating a sense of uncertainty. That is a perfect place to begin therapy!
I believe it’s important to consider the whole person in therapy. I use creative approaches and techniques to help you recognize strengths and resources that can assist you moving forward. I look forward to working with you!
What should a new client know about working with you?
We would begin with getting to know each other and setting the goals you would like to achieve through-out our time together. Some self-study material would be provided for you to explore and practice new skills sets.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Nicki has helped me navigate so many ups & downs in the 2 years I've been seeing her. I've never had a "bad" session. I always leave feeling more empowered and with more insight. She's patient with me, but not afraid to give me a reality check. I really value my sessions with her.
