The fact that you are reading this lets me know that you are on a journey focused on healing. I am proud that you are taking the necessary steps towards growth. I like to take a holistic approach by exploring your past, present, and future life moments. In doing so, it is my hope that you are able to make connections that result in change. My communication style My communication style is open, compassionate, and collaborative. I aim to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can express yourself freely and feel truly heard. I listen deeply, offer honest reflections, and tailor my approach to meet your individual needs and pace. My journey to mental healthcare An interest of mine, since I was a child, has always been listening to stories and connecting with others on a deeper level. I had the pleasure of traveling to Trinidad and Tobago in college, where I worked with families affected by Domestic Violence. It was that experience that piqued my interest in working with families on an individual level. My goals for you Your goals can be changed or altered at any time. That is life. I want to ensure my client is comfortable with their goals and finds them realistic. I will always empower my clients to reach their goals, but I will always leave room for the ups and downs that come with being human. My first session with you Our first session together will be focused on getting to know one another. Things such as your background, your interests, and ultimately what brought you to therapy will be asked. I do not expect immediate openness and comfort during the initial meeting, but it is my hope that the more we meet, the sharing process will become.
