The way we move through the world has a lot to do with who we are and who we're evolving to be. Our experiences often contribute to our decision-making more than we realize. When we live with unhealed trauma, our hurt often displays as anger, depression, and low confidence. I strongly believe that representation matters and equitable mental health is necessary. I advocate for accessible and equitable mental health for people of color and incorporate this into my practice. I am a licensed mental health therapist and licensed school counselor. I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana University and a Master of Science in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from the same university. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health, school counseling, school-based therapy, and private practice. I have over seven years of experience as a therapist and twelve years of experience in mental health. In addition to working with adults, I also work with adolescents. Adolescent therapy is a specialty in itself, as it is much different than working with adults. With over seven years of experience working with children and adolescents, I incorporate my experience working in education and school-based therapy for my clients. You may have wondered why therapy often seems like it's only meant for a specific demographic. I am here to assure you that if you have been lost in the struggle, beginning therapy may be exactly what you've been searching for. If you've been considering therapy and don't know where to start, let's work together to create what you envision for your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with my clients at their pace...I assist in creating tools to evolve the behaviors they seek support in, into healthy relationships and self-confidence. I strongly believe that representation matters and equitable mental health is necessary. "Cookie cutter" therapy is not for me, or for you! I ensure that my approach is created for clients based on their individual experiences.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
