"Hello, I'm Noelmi. I began my career over 12 years ago as a community psychiatric support treatment specialist in the field of community mental health. My journey has been dedicated to providing a wide range of direct and indirect case management services to individuals diagnosed with chemical dependency issues and severe and persistent mental illnesses. This included assessing strengths, abilities, needs, desires, preferences, making referrals, and coordinating services to ensure comprehensive care. Transitioning to a crisis intervention specialist role, I performed crisis interventions, screenings, referral/information, and enrollment services for those in urgent need of mental health support. As the Program Coordinator at the Crisis Stabilization Unit, I played a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and evaluating a 24/7 program designed to offer crisis intervention, counseling, case management, and support services to adults experiencing mental health crises. I spent five years under the umbrella of Crisis Intervention, honing my skills and deepening my understanding of urgent mental health care. My next step was at the Northeast Reintegration Center, where I provided individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment. I encourage my clients to challenge their thinking patterns, learn and utilize effective wellness skills, develop and maintain healthy relationships, and engage in meaningful activities to discover their interests and passions, ultimately helping them thrive in life. I graduated from Cleveland State University, School of Social Work in 2008 with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and became a Licensed Social Worker in 2009. I earned my Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Applied Social Science.
