Getting to know Noemi Sicherman
In my 20 years of experience, I have worked with a very wide variety of families. I have substantial experience helping parents cope with the stressors of raising children with special needs (medical and developmental), and I understand the medical, developmental and educational systems you must contend with. I often work with caregivers -- people so focused on others that they aren't able to identify their own strengths or care for themselves. Many of my clients have related anxiety and depression that prevents them finding contentment. They need a safe space to share their challenges, to heal, and to feel prepare for whatever may come next. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I got my Masters in Social Work at UC Berkeley in 2004, and became licensed in 2010. I help individuals cope with the stressors of early adulthood, parenting, and being stuck the "sandwich generation," caring for children and older relatives, with little or no time for self care. My approach is always strength-based and supportive, and I utilize tools from Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients heal and grow. I welcome LGBTQ+ individuals, and am particularly honored to work with LGBTQ+ parents.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
