Nydrah Lancaster, LCSW

Psychotherapist
GA
As a mental health professional, I specialize in supporting individuals who grew up in toxic or high-pressure households where perfection was expected and emotional needs were often overlooked. These early experiences can leave lasting impacts, fueling anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and a constant fear of not being “enough.” With years of experience helping clients navigate these challenges, I provide a space where healing, self-compassion, and personal growth are at the forefront. Together, we’ll work on building self-esteem, overcoming perfectionism, setting healthy boundaries, and creating a life that feels authentic and fulfilling on your terms. You deserve to let go of the pressure and live a life you’re proud of. I believe that healing requires both understanding where you’ve been and learning how to move forward. That’s why I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy in my work. Together, these approaches help you uncover how your past shaped your beliefs, rewrite the unhelpful stories you’ve carried, and build practical tools to challenge perfectionism, increase self-worth, and live with more intention and ease.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Are you tired of feeling like you’re never “enough”? You grew up in a household where love felt conditional, emotions were dismissed, and perfection was expected. Now, as an adult, you may still carry the weight of those expectations, people-pleasing, overworking, struggling to say no, or constantly second-guessing yourself. I work with people just like you who are smart, self-aware individuals who are exhausted from performing and just want to feel at peace with who they are. Together, we’ll challenge the inner critic, set healthy boundaries, and build a stronger sense of self. The one that isn’t tied to being perfect. My communication style is warm, validating, and emotionally grounded. I speak to the parts of you that felt unseen, unheard, or only valued when you were performing. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and supported as you challenge old beliefs and build a more authentic life. I blend insight with practical tools so our work together feels both meaningful and doable.
