Hello, I'm Olga Maxwell. Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia, and I have been dedicated to this field for the last 9 years. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2007, followed by a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University in 2015. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings, addressing a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, addiction, self-harm, trauma, sleep problems, anger issues, and intrusive thoughts. Over the past 6 years, my focus has been on supporting individuals dealing with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, such as Schizophrenia-type disorders and Bipolar Disorders. My clinical experience also includes training and supervising a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled team to deliver evidence-based practices to those in need. I have been trained in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and the Hypno-Counting Approach for treating trauma. Additionally, I am certified in Beck’s Cognitive Restructuring (CT-R) treatment for Schizophrenia. As a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, I take great joy in mentoring interns and new professional counselors entering the field. I am also fluent in Ukrainian, which allows me to connect with a broader range of clients. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards achieving your therapeutic goals. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to wellness.
