MD
Hi there, I'm Oluwaseun! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Maryland. I understand that every individual has the capacity to grow and change despite their challenges. I consider the relationship with the self an important aspect of mental and emotional well-being and recognize how interpersonal relationships influence the process of change. My approach I am trained in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). My focus I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, body image concerns, depression/mood disorders, anxiety/stress, and trauma in children, adolescents, and adults. My communication style I utilize a person-centered approach to help clients achieve their therapy goals in a nonjudgmental and safe therapeutic environment. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to a career as a therapist because of my passion for helping others and my desire to make a positive impact. As an individual with lived experience, I understand the importance of improving one’s relationship with the self and developing a support system throughout the recovery journey. I continue to provide therapy to individuals experiencing a variety of mental health concerns and challenges because I believe every individual can experience growth and change with support. My goals for you I use a collaborative approach to support clients in identifying their therapy goals. My first session with you I view the first session as an opportunity to get to know clients by understanding their reasons for seeking therapy, their medical and psychological history, and their goals for therapy.
