Getting to know Pamela Gilley

Hi there, I'm Pamela! My name is Pam Gilley. I am an LCSW and MCAP with over 20 years in the mental health field. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University and my Bachelor's from Reinhardt University. I believe everyone has the answers and just needs help finding them. My approach Since everyone is different, I tailor each session and each person to what is needed at that time. My focus I have spent years working with all forms of mental health and recently started working with first responders. I love helping people see what they can achieve when they set their minds to it. My communication style I am very low-key. No problems with telehealth, in person, or even walking on the beach to talk. If you are comfortable somewhere or with something in particular, so am I. My journey to mental healthcare I started as an investigator into child abuse and neglect, focusing on fatalities and serious injuries. This led me to the therapy side of investigations with clients and showed me how much support was also needed for my coworkers. From there, I obtained my master's and began working with adults with psychosis, PTSD, and head trauma. Due to my own TBI, I became more interested in the neurological side of mental health. It has been fascinating, and I love to share what I have learned. My goals for you I like to find out what people want to accomplish, break those goals into smaller, workable increments, and celebrate achievements no matter how small.
