Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Pamela! Whether you are new to the therapy experience or returning, I want to welcome you to join me in discovering more of yourself. My goal is to support you in building a deeper relationship with yourself and to learn to be present with and accept your more difficult parts as you reconnect with all of you. My approach It is my belief and my best practice to not limit my work to one or two treatment modalities. I prefer to choose what comes in the moment, blending approaches to fit your needs at that time. Using a multi-model and integrative approach, we will work together to discover a renewed experience of yourself through curiosity, compassion, mindfulness, and body awareness, and maybe even some humor. I do bring a Gestalt approach to my work and utilize Voice Dialogue (parts work) where appropriate. I like to use myself and the work I have done myself over the years as a tool. Everyone's journey is a unique one, and I want to base my work with you around your needs. Not every model of therapy fits with everyone. My focus I work best with those who are struggling with inner conflict, how they feel about themselves, and the issues that contribute to these feelings. I work with individuals on personal growth through the pain and confusion of life's challenges. The therapeutic relationship and our interactions are to help guide you in managing depression, anxiety, life's transitions, grief, and whatever you may present. I find that often, underlying trauma, grief, and loss contribute to many of our outward issues. Learning to honor all of yourself in the process of self-discovery will be a focus. My communication style My communication style is heartfelt, compassionate, and encouraging. I believe in open communication where I am not seen as the expert on you. I want you to feel safe, encouraged, and valued for who you are. We are on this journey together, and you, the client, are not the only one who is affected by our relationship.
